Wool roving from our black Shetland ewes Eina, Sophie and Song. There are some white fibers in the roving, but it's wool not hair. Iset a Shetland term for White wool fibers in Black or Moorit fleeces.
Iset is a Shetland marking that begins to develop in the wool at about 2 years old. Starting from the back legs and hips, spreading up the back. We have just the last of the one shade left in the lighter coloring. This Black Iset looks like like a dark steely gray.
